Essentially the difference between Motorsport tyres and “normal” passenger car tyres is the function the tyres must perform. On the one hand, Motorsport requires a high grip and a durability which has to be carefully balanced to ensure success at the extreme performances required at high level competitive racing. On the other hand, a passenger car tyre needs to provide other aspects such as comfort, lower noise, efficient energy saving qualities and durability.
